Horse - 1

Here is my critique. Let me preface it with this: I am not a professional and do not know everything about photography, far from it I think there are a few things you could have done to make the photo lots better and to keep in mind for next time. I would have perhaps zoomed out a little and kept almost the whole horse in the shot, it feels cut off to me especially by losing the head. I can see where it's appealing having the curves but by knowing what the subject is (the horse) it's not working and makes me just frustrated that i cant see the whole horse.

The other thing i would watch is the tones of the photo, it feels ALL grey. there is not light and dark to the photo which also makes it feel flat. and the grainy look your getting from shooting at such a high iso or from editing it too much? you did well to capture a moving horse without a lot of blur but the quality of the pic is degraded to much to enjoy it
